36-HOLE MAJOR (Professionals & Championship Amateurs)

Tournament Details

The VGT Chilliwack Classic is a 36-HOLE MAJOR event for PROS & CHAMPIONSHIP AMATEURS. Amateurs will compete against all Professionals in this Open event for the Overall Title.

Full Field Size: 100 Pros; 20 Championship Amateurs

Professional Purse: $35,000 (based on full field).
First place: $6,500. Top 33% of field will be paid out. Amateurs finishing in the top 33% will be awarded gift cards valued up to $1,000 (or the equivalent to the pro cheque in that spot if under $1,000). Amateur payouts will contribute to the overall purse.

Eligibility

Open to all male and female VGT Professionals and Amateurs 0-5.0 Golf Canada hdcp factor. Priority will be given to Members in the Professional and amateur field. Non-members are eligible to play when field size is not full at time of Registration Deadline.

Entry Fee & Registration:

VGT MAJOR SERIES Member $450 + GST
VGT Professional (non-majors) $500 + GST
Non-Member Professional $550 + GST
VGT Amateur Member (36-hole) $200 + GST
NON-Member Amateur (36-hole) $250 + GST
VGT Amateur Member (18-Hole) $105 + GST
Non-Member Amateur (18 Hole) $140 + GST

Order of Merit (OOM) points will be awarded based on the following point system for this event:

1st Place: 5000 pts 11th place: 1200 pts 21st place: 340 pts 31st: 140 pts
2nd Place: 3500 pts 12th place: 1100 pts 22nd place: 320 pts 32nd: 120 pts
3rd Place: 3200 pts 13th place: 1000 pts 23rd place: 300 pts 33rd: 100 pts
4th Place: 2800 pts 14th place: 900 pts 24th place: 280 pts
5th Place: 2400 pts 15th place: 800 pts 25th place: 260 pts
6th Place: 2200 pts 16th place: 700 pts 26th place: 240 pts
7th Place: 2000 pts 17th place: 600 pts 27th place: 220 pts
8th Place: 1800 pts 18th place: 500 pts 28th place: 200 pts
9th Place: 1600 pts 19th place: 400 pts 29th place: 180 pts

PRACTICE ROUND ARRANGEMENTS:

Chilliwack Golf Club has offered two different practice scenarios for VGT MAJORS MEMBERS:

• 6 Week Membership from April 22nd to May 31st - $299.00 + tax
• Includes unlimited use of the practice facility
• Afternoon standby access to the golf course

OR
• Practice Rounds: $25 + Tax per player. Must be booked into Sat/Sun afternoon block prior to event.
• Local hotel partner(s) and long-stay accommodations TBA
